Official Rules:
You may row in lieu of the Warm-up of the Week
You may row as a Cool Down
Athletes must complete the Workout of the Day in order to row during classes
Athletes can ONLY row during class times and/or Open gym times
(NOT during Private one-on-one sessions)
Distances must be verified by a CrossFit Coach but tracked by our coaches
(We reccommend you call ahead before traveling to ensure other CrossFit gyms will allow you to use their equipment for our Challenge. Track coach's names, dates, distances, and class times for verification upon your return from vacation)
Rowing can only take place at a CrossFit gym. No honor system for globo gym rowing
Only registered athletes are allowed on the rowers at any time. Intent to register does not count.
You may row as long or as often as you'd like provided you have completed the WOD and nobody is waiting for use.
In the event of all rowers being in use, athletes in classes will have priority to use during warm-up. If all waiting athletes are not participating in a class, athletes will be limited to 5k meters or 20 minutes, whichever happens first.
Rules may be added or modified at any time to allow for a fun, competitive holiday event. We have spent time debating rules to make the Challenge fair to all. If issues come up that were not considered in the past, we will create or modify rules as needed.
